TOOLTALK Hand Deburring 101 Handle Options Since the B & E style of blades are the most common styles, a variety of different style handles and holders are available for them. The blades are not interchangeable with each other due to the size of the shank. Some handles can hold both types of blades; others cannot. Make sure you have a compatible handle and holder depending on what blade you are using for a project. Other Types of Blades There are many other styles of deburring blades that are not offset blades. These specialized blades typically require their own handle and holder. The most common blades beyond B and E are: Type C – Scraper Blades Type F – Countersinks Type D – For Sheet Metal Type G – For Key Ways Type L – For Outer Diameter Pieces Type U – For Tool & Die Workpieces Ceramic Blades – For Plastic For more extensive information on deburring tools, reach out to Fastenal.
