A MESSAGE FROM FASTENAL WHERE INDUSTRY MEETS INNOVATION At Fastenal, our job isn’t just to provide a product. It’s to provide a resilient supply chain and solutions that help you operate more productively. This mindset inspired us to introduce a new company tagline in 2021: Where Industry Meets Innovation . What’s the meaning behind it? Let’s break it down word by word. “Where” speaks to our local presence, a commitment to support your business with dedicated experts and inventory, everywhere you operate. The impact is direct. When we locally stock your supply needs, that’s inventory you don’t have to carry. When we help manage your supply chain, that frees up time for your team to focus on the job, not the products needed to do it. “Industry” makes a key distinction. Our brick-and-mortar footprint can sometimes make Fastenal look like a quick stop for DIY needs. But make no mistake: Our branch network exists to provide in-market inventory and service for business customers. This includes businesses in traditional industrial sectors like manufacturing, construction, and energy, as well as any sector with MRO needs, from healthcare to education. “Meets” alludes to engagement and planning. We come to you. We meet the need before it arises. You can pay an employee to scour the internet for a needed part and then either wait 48-plus hours for delivery or have an employee go pick the product up. OR you can connect yourself to a partner that has a regular schedule for visiting your business to monitor your inventory and proactively refill what you need – so you never even have to think about it. “Innovation” evokes technology, and that’s certainly a big part of what we offer: devices to monitor, track, and control inventory; tools to visualize and analyze trends in your business. But it runs deeper than that. It’s a questioning of business as usual. A commitment to investing in new ideas. And a belief that behind every best practice there’s a better practice waiting to be discovered. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your business in 2022. Cheers to a new year!
